How to Get Free Software!

The secret to your success will be at their free local events held all over the country; all you have to do is show up.   You may have to sit through a new product preview or seminar but they are often as short as 30 minutes (hardly any effort for receiving an armful of goodies).

MSDA Quarterly Briefings are the place to be!   These are free events that focus on currently launching products and provide previews of upcoming technologies.   Forums deliver technical information and the attendee always walks away with an Attendee Kit overflowing with evaluation products, detailed product information, beta releases, as well as free full versions of popular software.   These are not demos or crippled versions, but full versions!   The idea behind the program is that the people receiving the software will see how great Microsoft's products are and want to buy 50 or more copies for their business or organization.   You're not obligated to make any purchases, but Microsoft hopes that you will.   To locate and register for a briefing in your area, simply visit:

Also, some events and seminars have expos where software vendors other than Microsoft give away their latest products free so you'll never know what you'll find!

But you said I didn't have to be a computer reseller to sign up for this program:   And you don't!
Just register yourself as someone who makes computer purchasing decisions, because it is a true fact that you do!   If you have ever bought a computer or software application then you are someone who makes purchasing decisions.   Even if you have not made any purchases, you are still someone who makes purchasing decisions.   It just happens all of your decisions have been not to buy.

There are a few events that are not free (most are), so only attend the free ones if you don't want to spend any money.   Also, not every seminar gives out free software.   You will need to read the descriptions carefully to see which ones do and which ones don't.
